8 Hour suspended scaffold supervisor refresher safety course
Per Local Law 196, in order to continue to operate in the City of New York, some workers and supervisors are required to complete a minimum number of hours of approved site safety training. This NYC Department of Buildings-Approved curriculum is a prescribed (required) course that fulfills one of the requirements for an individual applying for a Site Safety Training (SST) Card.
*Course fee does not include cost of SST Card
Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to:
Identify common causes of scaffold accidents and ways to prevent them
Explain particular differences in Federal Suspended Scaffold Regulations and how to apply them on construction sites in New York City
Demonstrate practical skills necessary to properly install and maintain Fall Protection Systems used on Suspended Scaffolds
Apply Various Applications using ropes, knots & hitches, Block & Tackle and Wire Rope Termination
Show understanding and capability of safe Suspended Scaffold project supervision.
